Character Creation is very well done especially for an anime-looking game although I always think they should add more hair variety and probably some accessory costs are a bit too high in relation to what we can do with them. Abilities are Interesting, I think the ui for their resource could use some work since it is only a number hud roughly displayed in white. The customization systems in regards to gameplay are very interesting, simple and effective, it can be deep enough but not too deep to the point of confusion especially for newer players to the genre. The Enemy placement though is very interesting, it genuinely feel like a dungeon in that sense because in the first play-through you wont know what to expect. Now that this is out of the way lets talk about the good stuff, the theme of the game is pretty good, music is good, sounds are good while in combat, the voice acting as said is superb although sometimes it can feel a bit on the low side but rarely, The areas in game can feel both very pretty and interesting but at the same time very linear despite being a souls type of game of course, basically meaning that the quality of the environmental art is fantastic while the map layouts are being uninteresting oftentimes.
This can be both a good and a bad thing depending on the player, meaning new players to the genre should pick it up to learn the basics in a smoother transition into the souls genre. The Game can be very easy but also very hard, mostly easy though due to the companion systems. so did most, unfortunately it does not live up to the expectations by any stretch, it has a mediocre story, voice acting is nice but the way it is portrayed along with the stiff and fake-looking 3D Anime graphics make it terrible at what it is trying to accomplish, it is hard to associate with the characters, to relate to them and to be engaged in the story, also it is lacking the keypoints by which players are able to immerse in the story in the sense that we do not really care about certain things we were supposed to care about, as a very generic example we do not feel like it was sad to lose someone if we only met them about 1 minute ago, likewise the story does not make the connections, it can make most people space out. so did most, unfortunately it does not Its Dark Souls + Anime Style + Vampires, I like all of these themes and expected highly of the game.
